The Project
“Casa No Tempo has bees in the family for many years. It was our grandfathers wish that we look after it for the next generation”
Being aware of our grandfather’s vision, we tried to aim higher, connecting the past with the coming future, leaving out the marks of time, in search for a peaceful and timeless place…
The renovation was carried out under the guidance of our good friend, the architect Manuel Aires Mateus: The farm elevates nature’s most precious elements.
The houses
Our main concern was to have the house open to the vastness of the property and to welcome nature’s gift through the large windows of every room.
All the floors are paved with local clay blocks (heated in winter). A fully equipped kitchen is integrated in a beautiful white marble structure, exposed to the dining table in front of a huge window overlooking a 400sq – meter swimming pool.
The lounge is a luminous area with white sofas and a uniquely designed fireplace corner.
The 4 suites are very spacious, with a mixture of modern bedding and local wooden furniture; walk-in showers and toilets, ultimately finished using handmade tiles.
Outdoors
We have four bicycles for our guest to use, free or charge, as well as a variety of activities and routes to keep you busy around the farm.
The farm is located in Alentejo, otherwise known as the unexplored Portugal. Well known for its unique and peaceful landscapes of vast golden plains, where olive trees and oak trees provide the only shade. Casa no Tempo is also very close to wonderful historical towns like Arraiolos, Montemor-o-Novo and Évora.

The position
Casa No Tempo is located closest to Montemor-o-novo, one hour east of Lisbon. It is a short drive from arraiolos and évora, which has been deemed a world heritage by Unesco.
